Curtis, Abner, 1719 - 1799

Lieutenant Abner Curtis was the son of Joseph Curtis and Martha Collins of Wallington, Connecticut.  In 1759, he served at Crown Point and in that year became ensign of in the 7th Company of Colonel Nathan Whiting's Regiment.  The following year, Curtis was promoted to 2nd lieutenant. After the war, Curtis sold his farm in Wallingford in 1764 and removed to Farmington, where he died in 1799.
