Brown, Matthew, 1793 - 1860

Matthew Brown was the son of Matthew and Elizabeth Brown of Stonington, Connecticut. In 1834, he was a selectman from North Stonington.  On February 10th of that year, he and the other selectmen of the town recommended that the New London County Court replace the outgoing overseer to the Eastern Pequot, Silas Chesebrough, with Ezra Hewitt.
