Bartlett, Solomon , 1786 - 1858
Born around 1786, Solomon Bartlett was a member of the Herring Pond Indian community and a seaman by trade. He married first Jonathan Lindsley's eldest daughter, Clarissa G. on June 1, 1817, and after her death in 1827, Lindsley's second daughter, Betsy.
In 1838, Bartlett was among the Herring Pond who signed his brother-in-law, John Conet's petition to the Massachusetts Legislature for assistance in building or repairing a schoolhouse. Eleven years later, he was living in a household with Betsey and Andrew Pratt, Betsy's son from a previous relationship. By the following year, Betsy had died. Solomon followed her on December 29, 1858.
