Awonsamug, Submitt

Submitt Awonsamug (Wamsquam) was a Hassanamisco Nipmuc woman.  She received payments from the tribal trustee, at least from 1757.  Her name continues until the early 19th-Century.  Accounts held by Benjamin Heywood (1790-1795, 1796-1813), Earle Papers, American Antiquarian Society.
