Arnold, Charles, 1777 - 1849

Charles Arnold was a farmer from Lebanon, Connecticut.  In 1830, his household included a free man of color, aged 24-35, and a free woman of color, aged 10 through 23.  Arnold was reimbursed for his expenses in keeping an Eastern Pequot woman, Zilpha Nedson, also known as Zilpha Talsbury, from August 1844 until she died in 1845.  Arnold himself died from dysentery in Lebanon in 1850 at the age of 72.
