Resolution on the Petition of Doctor Philemon Tracy Seeking Compensation for Services Provided a Member of the Eastern Pequot Tribe

Upon the petition of Philemon Tracy of Norwich in New London County, praying that his bill for medicines and medical services rendered to John Miller, an Indian of the Pequot or Stonington1 Tribe, may be paid out of the treasury of this state, as per petition on file, brought to this Assembly at their present session, dated May 2nd 1825.

Resolved by this assembly that said petition be granted in part and that the comptroller of public accounts,2 be and he is hereby directed to draw an order on the treasurer of this state3 in favor of Doctor Philemon Tracy of Norwich for the sum of fifty-five dollars4 in full of his bill for medicine and medical aid furnished by him to John Miller (now deceased), an Indian of the Pequot or Stonington5 Tribe.
